Le Corbusier – The Art of Architecture / Vitra Design Museum / part 1/2

October 26, 2007

Le Corbusier – The Art of Architecture is the current exhibition at the Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein, Germany. Le Corbusier (1887 – 1965) is probably the most influential architect of the 20th Century. The retrospective aims to address the many aspects that still make Le Corbusier’s work such an important point of reference for contemporary architecture and urbanism. In this video curator Mateo Kries leads us through the three sections of the show entitled “Contexts”, “Privacy and Pubicity” and “Built Art”. The exhibition is accompanied by the comprehensive catalogue Le Corbusier: The Art of Architecture featuring 298 pages and ca. 500 reproduced images. Curators: Stanislaus von Moos, Arthur Rüegg, Mateo Kries. Vitra Design Museum, Weil am Rhein: Le Corbusier – The Art of Architecture (September 29 2007 – February 10, 2008). Interview with curator Mateo Kries, October 2, 2007. Part 1/2.
