Irena Juzova: Collection – Series / Czech and Slovak Pavilion, 52nd Venice Biennale

November 1, 2007

In the Czech and Slovak Pavilion at the 52nd Venice Biennale artist Irena Juzova (born 1965) presents a lukopren cast of her body. She puts her body on exhibition as industrial product. “Within the setting of the Czech and Slovak pavilion, Irena Juzova presents a game not only with the imprint of her body, but also with the imprints of architectonic elements as a daring metaphor of a memorial, or mausoleum of art as manipulated by the market.” (PR). 52nd International Art Exhibition, Venice, June 9, 2007.
