Sarah Morris: Black Beetle / Fondation Beyeler, Riehen / Switzerland

June 12, 2008

Running concurrently with the Fernand Leger-exhibition, the Fondation Beyeler presents “Black Beetle“, a project by the New York-based artist Sarah Morris (born 1967). Sarah Morris created a new, very long mural (household gloss paint on wall, 23.7 x 3.8 meters), that reflects her interest in Origami. The work is supplemented by selected paintings from her series “Capital” and “Rings” and her films “Midtown” and “Capital”. Sarah Morris: Black Beetle, Fondation Beyeler (until September 7, 2008).
PS: On show until the 3rd August 2008: Sarah Morris’ film “1972″ at Lenbachhaus in Munich, Germany.
