Design Miami 2008

December 3, 2008

For its 2008 edition, Design Miami moved from the Moore Building to a tent designed by the architecture and design firm Aranda/Lasch. This year, 23 galleries are participating in the fair and Design Miami inaugurates its own, curated exhibition entitled “Beyond Organic: Design in the State of Nature”. For the first time contemporary jewelry is shown, Ted Noten presents a handbag for very young ladies with very old rich husbands at Ornamentum Gallery. The Campana brothers won Design Miami’s Designer of the Year Award. One of the main sponsors of the fair is Swarovski Crystal Palace. For Swarovski, Ross Lovegrove has designed a table and chandelier installation entitled Liquid Space.
