2008/2009 Exhibition at the Margulies Collection at the Warehouse / Miami, Florida

The Margulies Collection at the Warehouse is a not-for-profit institution in Miami dedicated to the presentation of exhibitions and educational programs that explore contemporary art and culture. Until April 2009 the Collection presents a new exhibition. On display are Magdalena Abakanowicz’ Hurma, an epic figurative environment by the Polish sculptor; Isaac Julien’s Western Union: Small Boats, a video installation on migration and the hope for a better life; George Osodi’s Oil Rich Niger Delta, a photographic essay on the people of Nigeria; and Photography and Sculpture: A Correlated Exhibition (new and vintage photography linked to contemporary sculpture).
This exhibition walk-through shows other new acquisitions like “Os Musicos” by Os Gemeos, “Derwish 2” by Jennifer Steinkamp, and “Bale Varient No. 0012” by Shinique Smith, and the photo series “The Hyena Men of Nigeria” by Pieter Hugo.
Also on display: An exhibition that presents a limited edition portfolio with 10 photographs to beneft the Lotus Endowment Fund.
