Imi Knoebel: Selected Works / Von Bartha Garage, Basel

Until February 19, 2011, von Bartha Garage in Basel / Switzerland presents a selection of works by German artist Imi Knoebel.
Imi Knoebel (born Klaus Wolf Knoebel in Dessau in 1940) studied under Joseph Beuys at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf with fellow students Imi Giese, Blinky Palermo, Jörg Immendorff and Katharina Sieverding. With Imi Giese and Blinky Palermo he was one of the Beuys students that followed a Minimal Art direction.
In 2009 Imi Knoebel had major shows at the Neue Nationalgalerie and at Deutsche Guggenheim. He also was part of the group show Joseph Beuys and His Students.
