Patrick Meagher / Studio Visit / part 3/4

In part 3 of the studio visit Patrick Meagher opens a briefcase and presents his first annual report, outlining his activities and core interests and values. A monograph on his work will be available soon. The book, edited by Uta Grosenick, shows the interrelation of Patrick Meagher’s five main bodies of work from the past six years. Texts are by Daniel Marzona, curator formerly of PS1, publisher of Navado Press, Trieste; and Tan Lin, poet and writer based in New York. Patrick Meagher / Studio Visit / part 1/4

VernissageTV met artist Patrick Meagher in his studio in New York. Patrick (born 1973 in New York) studied at the Harvard University, Graduate School of Design, Cambridge MA, the Carnegie Mellon University, College of Fine Arts, Pittsburgh PA, and the Kunstakademie Dusseldorf, Germany. One of his works has been on display at the Armory Show 2007, and he is participating in a group show in Geneva, Switzerland (through Mai 20, 2007). The group exhibition at the Cabinet des estampes du Musée d’art et d’histoire presents objects made of thermoplastic material from 1960 until present comprising works by Arman, Peter Halley, Richard Hamilton, Claes Oldenburg, Tobias Rehberger and others.
