Sean Kelly Gallery presents a major exhibition of new work by artist Wolfgang Laib (born 1950 in Metzingen, Germany). It’s Wolfgang Laib’s first show since joining the gallery. The exhibition entitled “Without Time – Without Body – Without Place” is organized around one of Laib’s most important new, large-scale pollen and rice installations. On display are also a monumental double staircase, new black and red houses of Indian granite, and wax sculptures. Wolfgang Laib is know for the use of materials such as milk, pollen, rice, wax and marble. His installations utilize elemental forms such as cones and ziggurats.
