Christine Tarkowski at Priska C. Juschka Fine Art, New York

With her exhibition at Priska C. Juschka Fine Art, Christine Tarkowski has her first solo show in New York City. The exhibition entitled “Whale Oil, Slave Ships and Burning Martyrs” is a mixed media installation consisting of a geodesic dome, broadsides, photographs and songs (created in collaboration with Jon Langford). With her work, Christine Tarkowski “explores the manner in which systems of belief pervade all aspects of our lives, through the construction of her own faith-based order” (excerpt from the press release).
