Ryoji Ikeda, Pierrick Sorin and Stéfane Perraud at Nuit Blanche 2008, Paris

On 4th October 2008, the city of Paris was illuminated all night long with creations by artists and designers from all artistic disciplines. Nuit Blanche is an annual all-night cultural festival that premiered in 2002 and is now in its seventh consecutive year. For this year’s Nuit Blanche, Paris’ buildings become giant screens. This video focuses on three works: Pierrick Sorin’s real time projection onto the front of Hotel Terminus Est, Ryoji Ikeda’s vertical light beam spectra [paris] at Tour Montparnasse, and Stéfane Perraud’s interactive installation Lueurs at Eglise Saint-Germain l’Auxerrois.
