Dislocación. Cultural Location and Identity in Times of Globalization, Kunstmuseum Bern

Dislocación is the title of an exhibition that has been conceived to celebrate the bicentennial of Chile’s independence. The Swiss Embassy in Santiago invited the Chilean-Swiss artist Ingrid Wildi Merino to organize this exhibition. Dislocación was presented in Santiago last year, and is now shown in Bern, Switzerland.

Dislocación includes works by the artists Ursula Biemann, Sylvie Boisseau & Frank Westermeyer, Juan Castillo, Thomas Hirschhorn, Alfredo Jaar, Voluspa Jarpa, Mario Navarro, Bernardo Oyarzun, RELAX (chiarenza & hauser & co), 000Estudio, Lotty Rosenfeld, Ingrid Wildi Merino, and Camilo Yáí±ez. The works have been conceived and executed specifically for the exhibition. As the curator of the Kunstmuseum Bern elaborates in this video, they artistically analyze general circumstances under which we live in times of globalization. The exhibition runs until June 19, 2011.
