In this video, we revisit Argentinian artist Guillermo Kuitca’s 2006 exhibition Das Lied von der Erde at Daros Exhibitions in Zürich, Switzerland. The show brought together over 100 works from the Daros-Latinamerica Collection, with loans from the Tate Gallery, London, and the Milwaukee Art Museum. Some of the works were recently on display at Fondation Beyeler in Riehen, Switzerland, as part of the exhibition Daros Latinamerica Collection at Fondation Beyeler. Guillermo Kuitca was born in Buenos Aires, Argentinia, in 1961. He is one of Latin America’s leading contemporary artists. Kuitca uses a variety of means to explore places and spaces. From maps, town plans, and architectural drawings the artist creates imaginary poetic and territorial worlds in which reality and fiction merge.
