Yesterday, Today, Today. Group Exhibition at Kunstraum Buchberg

The exhibition Yesterday, Today, Today at Art Space Schloss Buchberg near Gars am Kamp in Austria is a joint project by the collectors Gertraud and Dieter Bogner and mumok (Museum Moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig Wien). The show features works inside and outside by eight artists that enter into dialog with the historical architecture and the surrounding landscape, setting off an interplay between history and present, yesterday and today.

Gertraud and Dieter Bogner have been using this originally medieval castle since the 1970s as a stage for the exploration of contemporary art. References to architecture and to abstract forms and an interest in works that take an analytical approach to language and new media technologies have always been key elements in the Bogners’ collecting philosophy. These themes and this diversity of media are the basis of this exhibition. The participating artists are Martin Beck, Michael Beutler, Josef Dabernig, Nikita Kadan, Hanne Lippard, Ulrike Müller, Nicole Six / Paul Petritsch, and Sofie Thorsen.
