At Art Cologne 2019, Temporary Gallery and And She Was Like: BÄM! present a joint booth dedicated to the situation of women in the art world. One of the featured artists is Magdalena Kita with her project “I want some slashes / To go with those long eyelashes”. It consists of a painting on a silk curtain (Animal Testing, 2017), a selection of feminist-byzantine icons from Magdalena Kita’s series “Absolut Vanilla” (2017-2019), and a performance in which the artist paints the nails of visitors and talks about the relations between the sexes in our society.
