Inspired by German artist Thomas Schütte’s solo exhibition at Kunsthaus Bregenz we thought it might be a good idea to give one of the artist’s previous shows the VTV Classics treatment. In 2010 we covered Thomas Schütte’s retrospective at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia in Madrid (Spain). The exhibition featured works spanning from Thomas Schütte’s early pieces in the late 1970s to his latest creations, comprising little-known works as well as well-known ones such as the series of sculptures entitled Frauen (Women). The exhibition was curated by Lynne Cooke and brought together installations, sculptures, watercolors, etchings, photographs, and architectural models.
