Swiss Art Awards 2021

The Swiss Art Competition, held annually since 1899, is the world’s oldest art award. The accompanying Swiss Art Awards exhibition, which is organized by the Swiss Federal Office of Culture, offers an insight into current art and architecture in Switzerland. Running concurrently with Art Basel, the exhibition presents the finalists and the laureates of the competition. The laureates 2021 are L’Acte pur (Tristan Lavoyer & Andreas Hochuli), Marie Bette, MacIver-Ek Chevroulet, Giulia Essyad, Maëlle Gross, Pauline Julier, Monika Kazi, Henrique Loja, Hunter Longe, Marie Matusz, Maria Pomiansky, Gina Proenza, Jessy Razafimandimby, Rosa Brux, Sonnenstube, Cassidy Toner, Gaia Vincensini, and Paulo Wirz. In this video we have a closer look at the artworks by Real Madrid, Marie Bette, Pascale Birchler, Beni Bischof, Timothée Calame, Gina Proenza, Giulia Essyad, Gaia Vincensini, Monika Emmanuelle Kazi, Nicolas Cilins, Valentina Pini, Maria Pomiansky, Rita Siegfried, Marie Matusz, Hunter Longe, Ceylan Öztrük, Paulo Wirz, and Miriam Laura Leonardi.
