For the first time, Art Cologne and Cologne Fine Art & Design take place at the same time, from 17 to 21 November 2021. The Director of both fairs states that both fairs perfectly supplement one another: “There are no limitations to Cologne Fine Art & Design, which encompasses all epochs, all styles, from early times to the modern era. Both informing and complimenting the fine art of the 20th and 21st centuries presented at Art Cologne.”

This year, around 60 galleries and dealers participate in Cologne Fine Art & Design. There are also special exhibitions such as “Vienna 1900”, which provides insights into the period of the fin de siècle Secession in Vienna, with artists and designers like Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele, Oskar Kokoschka, and Josef Hoffmann. “Teke” presents ritual figures from the Teke people from the Republic of Congo, the Democratic Republic of Congo (formerly Zaire) and Gabon. “The Showroom” presents a new exhibition concept. Chosen and curated by the design and furniture expert Sebastian Jacobi, art and applied art come together in rooms emulating a domestic setting.
