VTV Classics (r3): Raymond Pettibon: The Big Picture (2007)

This film documents the opening reception of Raymond Pettibon’s exhibition at David Zwirner Gallery in New York on 11th September 2007. It’s Raymond Pettibon’s seventh solo exhibition at David Zwirner Gallery. The drawings presented at David Zwirner to a large extend address current political and social concerns, including American foreign policy and the war in Iraq.

Raymond Pettibon is considered as one of the most influential contemporary artists working today. He is included in the 52nd Venice Biennale (until November 21, 2007). Recently his work has also been shown at CAC Málaga, Spain; Kestner Gesellschaft, Hannover, Germany and Kunsthalle Wien, Austria. Raymond Pettibon received the Bucksbaum Award following his participation in the 2004 Whitney Biennial.
