Olafur Eliasson: Life / Fondation Beyeler / Life at Night

Olafur Eliasson’s exhibition project “Life” at Fondation Beyeler in Riehen (Basel, Switzerland) is a quite unique experience not only because lets nature invade the museum and sets part of the museum under water. For the visitors (both animal and human), the exhibition is also accessible day and night. Having already viewed the exhibition during the day as part of the press preview, we visit the art installation at night in this video.

“This artwork is a collective experiment. It challenges our conventions of art, nature, institution and life and attempts to dissolve their boundaries. Plants, animals, humans and microorganisms live together in this work. Both the time of day and the weather influence the development and perception of this exhibition.”
Sam Keller (Director, Fondation Beyeler)
