VernissageTV’s Top Ten Videos of 2021

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, 2021 was again a very challenging year. Travel restrictions kept us from covering more events worldwide, and opening receptions under precautionary measures simply look and feel different.
But even under these circumstances, there were some highlights: We were lucky to have a busy year producing films for museums, galleries and institutions; we provided a lot of archival footage to documentary filmmakers; we created music videos and album art for electronic band User 383913618‘s concept album Album A; we were featured in Swedish art magazine Konstperspektiv; and we broadcast the Art Cologne Art Talks 2021 in a three-day livestream.

So in spite of Covid-19, the year 2021 was not that bad at all. We were particularly pleased about one thing: In November, our video about the art installation “Can’t Help Myself” created by the Chinese artists Sun Yuan and Peng Yu went viral. It became the 5th most popular video on our YouTube channel and it’s probably the video that inspired the most profound and touching comments. Reason enough to stay optimistic. Furthermore, the exhibition previews of the galleries and museums give hope for an exciting art year in 2022. We try to report on as many of them as possible. Thank you for your support and happy holidays!
